We are excited to advertise for a Band 7 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. In our large MSK team we are looking for a physiotherapist with extensive experience and expertise in managing the range of MSK conditions and in return you will receive support in the form of a well structured supervision programme and access to internal/external training. You will have the opportunity to lead a small team in the department and develop staff. We support undergraduate students on placement throughout the year. Our service provides MSK physiotherapy to the patients of Enfield and the South Hertfordshire area. The successful candidate will be based at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield and will have the opportunity to work at outreach clinics in this area.
Main duties of the job
To perform comprehensive specialist physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
To contribute to and support the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols with support and guidance from the MSK manager
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner
In line with the rest of the team, to liaise with GPs and Consultants and other professional staff in order to develop and maintain good working relationships
To develop and demonstrate specialist skills within the field and support management in an agreed area of musculo-skeletal care.
Working for our organisation
North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.
We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George’s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
