Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for candidates to apply for the role of Administration Manager for Urological Cancers at Charing Cross Hospital.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the Uroloical cancers service.
Due to the nature of the post it is essential that the post holder is highly motivated and organised with an ability to prioritise and problem solve in a busy working environment.
Communication is key for this role and it will be expected that the post holder can demonstrate an ability to communicate with patients and staff across all disciplines. The successful candidate should ideally have some knowledge of the RTT, 62Day, DM01 & FDS standards.
Main duties of the job
- To manage the people and process of the prostate cancer pathway including the RAPID diagnostic service, MDT and prostate cancer clinics.
- To manage the people and process of the renal and bladder cancer pathways including the rapid access haematuria clinics, the haematuria virtual clinics and the MDT bladder and renal cancer clinics.
- To actively track and expedite patients’ care pathways to ensure national access targets are met, including cancer waiting times standards and 18-week Referral to Treatment. This role will have a particular focus on the Faster Diagnosis Standard for patients who are referred for the investigation of suspected cancer.
- To be responsible for day to day management, organisation and delegation of relevant tasks and roles to others as required.
- To produce evidence and data related to the urological cancer pathways.
- The post holder will be expected to organise and prioritise own workload and to assist colleagues to ensure the continuity of service at all times.
