Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated administrator to join Therapy Services in the post of Therapy Administrator for a permanent contract 22.5 hours.

Our department provides administrative assistance to a wide variety of Outpatient Therapy departments (MSK Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, Pelvic Health, Podiatry, Dietetics, Vascular and Amputees, Neurosciences, Respiratory, Pain Management). The successful applicant will be trained and will provide cross cover across all the departments. 

Main duties of the job

This role is varied from front of house reception service to providing back-office admin support to the department. This post will involve the successful applicant to work with qualified Allied Health Professionals, Therapy Assistants, Service Managers and Service Clinical Leads.

We are seeking to appoint a positive individual to work within our very fast paced service. Applicants should be able to demonstrate organisational skills, be a committed team player with the ability to prioritise their own workload and work well under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential with the role requiring high levels of face-to-face and telephone communication.

We provide a standalone service, allowing us to assist the patient from beginning to end of treatment. You  will be required to ensure that the patient experiences a smooth journey throughout their care from referral receipt to the last appointment. This role involves daily patient contact whether it is face to face, telephone, or email.  You will be booking, cancelling, rescheduling and ensuring appointments are utilised to maximum capacity.

Working hours range from 0800-1600, 0830-1630, 0900-1700 and 0930-1730 (*service need dependent). The service requires flexibility to allow for cover.
