The post holder will work with the existing head & neck consultants and is expected to have specialist training in advanced diagnostic head & neck imaging.
The post will support the delivery of world class expertise and local care, working with the Trust, divisions and directorates to achieve the strategic aims and meet the objectives of the units.
The post will be cross-site between Royal Free and Chase Farm Hospital supporting and developing the head & neck service to ensure a high quality of care for the patients across the Royal Free Group Hospitals. The post is new and is designed to align standards within the North Central Sector.
As-well as both general diagnostic reporting, specialist head & neck reporting and ultrasound intervention the clinical duties of the post will include local and regional (University College Hospital) MDT participation. The post holder will contribute to the diagnostic radiology on-call rota at the Royal Free site. The post includes working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the services in line with performance KPIs and clinical outcome metrics. The post works in a complex environment with a comprehensive caseload of patients with varying presentations and from a wide range of specialties. The job requires the post holder to be able to work under pressure and to be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the patient and the service.
The post holder will provide professional clinical advice to the referring clinicians and hospital management attending relevant departmental meetings to ensure safe and effective services.
The post holder must ensure they champion and lead by example on the values of the Trust, setting an example for colleagues.
