Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical fellow (Fetal Medicine) post (ST3-7 level) at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust at the Royal Free, Hampstead site. This post from November 2026 for 1 - year fixed term for maternity leave cover.

 

The successful candidate will also be contributing to the on-call rota and hence competence on labour ward at a senior level (ST3-7) is essential.

Essential criteria
  • MBBS (or equivalent)
  • Current full GMC Registration
Desirable criteria
  • MRCOG

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (in the NHS/UK at senior level)
Desirable criteria
  • Previous scanning experience

Skills and aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • Experience in assessing and managing common obstetric and acute gynaecology emergencies
Desirable criteria
  • Recent ALS Training
  • ALSO / MOET course attendance
  • Completion of CTG K2 package (or similar training)

Personal Qualities & attributes

Essential criteria
  • Effective team working
  • Good command of English language written and spoken
