Job overview

The key responsibilities of the post-holder will include:

To provide a comprehensive recruitment advisory and transactional administrative service to client directorates for non-medical positions, ensuring that recruitment is undertaken in a timely and professional way having regard for cost, quality and Trust policy, raising the people talent stock and working closely with directorate line managers to deliver their workforce recruitment needs.

Main duties of the job

1.    To advise line managers on the most appropriate approach to recruitment including media, advertising copy, selection methodology and recruitment process and timescales.

2.    To administer the recruitment process for all employees including clinical, professional and administrative staff and ‘trouble shoot’ recruitment delays to meet the operational priorities.

To identify with the HR Advisers and the Operational line managers the resourcing priorities arising from vacancy, capacity and turnover data arising from workforce intelligence

4.    To participate in recruitment panels, assessment centres and open                  recruitment events to ensure HR issues are properly dealt with and pre-employment checks are completed in accordance with Trust Policy.

5.    To actively participate in selection panel interviews where appropriate and communicate Trust policy in relation to terms and conditions of employment for all staff groups.

6.    To manage the recruitment process so that recruitment milestones are agreed with the line and delivered.

7.    To monitor recruitment initiatives to ensure that any issue which might affect success are identified to line managers and appropriate interventions agreed.

8.    To collect data on recruitment progress and produce information for the HR Business Partner and line managers so that they are aware of the position for each job being recruited against.
