Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and dedicated band 5 Radiographers to join the team at London North West University Hospitals NHS Trust. The role is to cover across all sites.

We  offer training in all modalities and have established advanced practice such as PICC line insertions, Radiographer led HSG lists, GI lists and reporting to name a few.

You will be expected to work a combination of days Monday to Sunday in and out of hours including nights.

Main duties of the job

General responsibilities include:

  • To work within a team of radiographic and clerical staff within the Trust
  • To provide a high standard of expertise and care, and lead areas of the department in the absence of the Modality Superintendent.
  • To provide a diagnostic imaging service in areas where trained both in and out of normal working hours.
  • To help facilitate learning for students and less experienced staff

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Current HCPC Registration
  • BSc Radiography or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Attendance at relevant study days and courses.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of A&E, theatre & mobile radiography
  • Knowledge of IRMER
  • Good knowledge of all general aspects of radiography.
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching and training students and other new members of staff

Skills and Abilities

  • Good written & verbal communication
  • Understanding of team work
