Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent and clear communication skills, as well as organisational & secretarial skills to support the administration team at the Audiology Department at West Middlesex University Hospital. The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service, supporting clinicians and managers with clinic management activities. We are seeking an individual with a positive attitude towards change, a commitment to service improvement, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to meet the complex needs of patients.

Main duties of the job

·         Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the department including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the admin team.

·         The post holder will communicate directly with patients to arrange or amend appointments, and provide a professional, empathetic, and confidential response to telephone enquiries.

·         Attending to patients when booking in for their appointment. Ensure correct and accurate information is recorded.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

·         Deal with general telephone enquiries from patients and general public.

·         Receive earmoulds back from manufacturer and store in correct place or post to patient as necessary.

·         Dealing with daily post.

·         Reception duties such as checking patients in and dealing with queries.

·         Dealing with daily emails
