Job overview

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrator / Neonatal UnitD Receptionist to join our busy team in the Neonatal Unit.

We are looking for a candidate who can provide administrative support to clinical staff and input data into Badgernet and CRS patient records system.

 You will be a point of contact and support for administrative issues relating to patients' pathway of care, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide support in the proactive management of the patient pathway from admission to discharge and planned follow up, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.

 You will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact. You will provide a consistent approach across the Trust, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that functions of the role are carried out correctly within given timescales.

 A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT skills as well as Inpatient records is desirable. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a busy environment. You will be able to show compassion and calmness in what is often a stressful environment.

Part time will be considered for the appropriate applicants

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure admission data, clinical information and categorises of care are correct on all records.
  • Assist in the coordination of appointments.
  • Schedule  follow up appointments with the most appropriate clinician, ensuring that capacity is proactively and efficiently used, escalating issues as required to the line manager.
  • Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate.
  •  Monitor entry system, ensuring authorised entry only.
  • Complete Fire Warden Training and complete weekly logs.
