Applications are invited for the post of ST3+ in one of our General Surgery firms. The post is for 6 months covering a trainee gap. The successful applicant will work in the capacity of a Registrar to one of the consultants within the General Surgery Unit and will be responsible for both inpatient elective and emergency work as well as supporting the surgical team whilst on call.

The successful applicant will work in the capacity of a Registrar to one of the consultants within the General Surgery Unit and will be responsible for both inpatient elective and emergency work. This will involve running outpatient clinics and assist in elective theatre.
The post is not approved for basic or higher surgical training but will provide ample training opportunities and will suit a trainee committed to a Surgical career or seeking additional experience. Previous NHS experience is essential for this role.
There is also scope for training and working closely with the Upper GI and Colorectal teams but please note this is primarily a General Surgery role and exposure to other areas are not guaranteed

- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCS/FRCS or equivalent
- GMC Registration with a license to practise
