An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic doctor to join the current Obstetrics and Gynaecology team as a Trust Grade Registrar at Barts Health NHS Trust for twelve months, on a fixed-term contract. Interested individuals are invited to apply for appointment to start as soon as possible.

Main duties of the job

The post will be based at Whipps Cross University Hospital and while this is a non-training post, the successful candidate will work across the full range of specialist clinics and theatres and will be invited to take part in all the educational opportunities the department has to offer. There may be an opportunity to develop specialist interests including completion of SITMs if eligible.

Successful candidates will be encouraged to participate in teaching, research, audit and journal club. In line with our commitment to improving the working lives of our junior doctors, the duties and hours are fully compliant with the New Deal initiative.

Individuals will require full GMC Registration and should at least be post MRCOG part 2. These posts are aimed at UK or Overseas trainee obstetricians at ST5+ level or above, and for EU trained individuals with the appropriate level of clinical experience. The successful applicant would join a 16-person middle grade rota

  • Experience in the UK as a registrar
  • Previous Audit / Research/ Teaching experience
