Medical Retina/ Uveitis Consultant

Whipps Cross University Hospital, London with the potential to work across Barts Health Trust sites e.g., Newham.
Whipps Cross University Hospital is seeking a full-time Medical Retina/ Uveitis Consultant to join our busy ophthalmology team.
Main duties of the job
You will manage medical retinal conditions, including AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular disease, in outpatient clinics and injection suites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality patient care across the medical retina service.
• Lead MR clinics
• Supervise trainees and support staff development.
• Contribute to audit, service improvement, and research activities.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Requirements:
• GMC registration and CCT or CESR in Ophthalmology with medical retina expertise.
• Proven experience in managing medical retina conditions and uveitis.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- CCT or equivalent or within 6 months of a date
- Full registration on GMC Specialist Register
- FRCOphth or equivalent
- Fellowship – Medical Retina
- Fellowship - Uveitis
