Clinical Harm Review Support
Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.
The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.
Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.
An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an administrator to join the clinical governance team to support the harm review process and activities of a variety of specialist services across the Royal London Hospital and Mile End Hospital which also have networks across East London.
As the Clinical Harm Review Coordinator you will be joining a dynamic team at this busy teaching hospital and the role presents an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified, dynamic and motivated individual to support our divisional leadership team to deliver a robust patient safety strategy across their division. As a Harm Review Co-ordinator within Barts Health NHS Trust, you will be involved in improvement and operational delivery of the harm review process within one of the largest NHS trusts in the country. You will be responsible for ensuring that harm reviews are being completed in an appropriate timeframe whilst constantly looking for ways to develop. Communication will be critical as you will be co-ordinating across multiple specialities as well as multiple trusts. Working within the Barts Health NHS Trust provides a unique opportunity not only to work in one of the largest trusts in the country, but to also share and develop practise across our hospital sites. You will be working with clinicians and administrative staff to investigate patient episodes and help to share learning and examples of good practice where appropriate.
If you have excellent administrative and organisational skills, excellent IT skills and well-developed communication skills, plus a working knowledge of a busy office environment, we want to hear from you.
