The General Imaging team at Barts Health is looking to recruit a talented radiographer to join the leadership team as CT Modality Lead for St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

We have dynamic clinical teams and are looking for a visible and motivating leader with a strong focus on CT Imaging. This Position will be based at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London- St. Paul’s.

Main duties of the job

The General Imaging team at Barts Health is looking to recruit a talented radiographer to join the leadership team as CT Modality Lead for St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

We have dynamic clinical teams and are looking for a visible and motivating leader with a strong focus on CT Imaging. This Position will be based at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London- St. Paul’s.

The post holder will be credible and a visible role model, both managerially and professionally, promoting and delivering quality clinical standards within Imaging at Barts Health.  They will bring dedication and energy to improving patient experience, staff satisfaction, clinical pathways and performance standards, through effective communication with patients, staff and stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience as CT radiographer
  • Wide experience of CT scanning equipment & techniques
  • Organisation and prioritisation of workload
  • Day to day operational management
  • Experience of current & and awareness of developing trends in CT scanning
  • Current research and audit developments
  • Current CT service and networking technology
  • Performance management schemes
  • Quality Assurance / Clinical Governance initiatives
  • Some personnel management experience
  • Some knowledge of wider NHS issues
  • National NHS priorities
  • Planning & commissioning of a new equipment

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc Radiography or DCR
  • HCPC State Registration
  • Formal management Training
  • IV cannulations
  • Radiation Protection Supervisor experience
  • Has knowledge of management theory, including personnel management, risk management and health and safety.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Post Graduate Qualification professional or managerial at Masters level or equivalent
  • Leadership Course
  • Supervisor Experience
