We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Health Visitor and Clinical Quality Fellow. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on clinical work with strategic project management.
What you'll do:
Health Visitor Role:
Provide expert health visiting services to families in various community settings.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative health visiting service
Clinical Quality Fellow Role:
Undertake a structured work-based program, mentored by a Public Health Nurse Consultant.
Identify, design, and manage a project focused on improving population health and reducing health inequalities.
Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the organization's quality strategy objectives.
CLCH NHS Trust is only one of a few trusts that still offers the Recruitment premia that was introduced in April 2023, to attract and retain qualified Health Visitors within CLCH’s Health Visiting Teams.
For registered Band 6 Health Visitors, this post is offering a premium of £2,500 payable upon commencement of employment (T&C’s apply)

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration
- Registered Health Visitor (SCPHN)
- Evidence of continuing post-registration education and training
- Practice assessor/supervisor training or working towards
Experience
Essential criteria
- Health visiting experience
- Be able to co-ordinate health promotion initiatives in line with local and national health improvement targets.
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and inter-agency working
- Experience of organising and managing own workload and that of others
- Experience of assessing, planning, and implementing programmes of care and writing care plans
- Experience in providing practice-based learning support to others.
- Experience of evidence-based care.
- Experience of supervising staff / students
Skills
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of recent developments in primary care
- Knowledge of current health and social care agenda relevant to area of work and professional practice
- Knowledge of current health legislation [including Change for Children agenda, Children’s Plan etc.
- Current knowledge of child protection issues
- Knowledge of quality issues, the audit process and clinical governance
- Knowledge of NMC Code of Practice
- Knowledge of Personal Development Planning
- Knowledge of clinical supervision
- Knowledge of how equal opportunities can be implemented in practice.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
