EPU Clinical Fellow: Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology
EPU Clinical Fellow
Job overview
Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, outstanding clinical fellow to join our busy Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynaecology (EPAG) service at this exciting time for the Trust.
We are looking to appoint one candidate to commence on 1st April 2026 (maternity cover). The successful candidate will hold a 12-month post.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated consultants in acute gynaecology, clinical nurse specialists, registered nurses, healthcare assistants and a Unit administrator/ receptionist, to provide specialist care to the population of North West London and neighbouring areas. The post will be based at the Chelsea & Westminster site.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute, after tailored training, to the provision of first-class emergency gynaecology care to our population through a one-stop clinical model complemented by high-quality gynaecological ultrasound and endoscopic surgical expertise. The successful candidate will also support the recurrent miscarriage and 2 week wait service and will contribute to the early pregnancy/emergency gynaecology scan and assessment service at the weekends. There may be a requirement to participate in the junior registrar on call rota at the weekends. This post provides an ideal ‘out-of-programme- experience’ (OOPE) opportunity to launch a portfolio of specialist training in gynaecological ultrasound. At the end of 12 months, the post-holder can expect to attain ultrasound skills equivalent to the RCOG intermediate level ultrasound in early pregnancy and acute gynaecology and showcase completed projects at national and international conferences.
