Why This Role is Unique:
This isn't just a consultant post; it’s a chance to work across the full spectrum of palliative care. Your role bridges the gap between our vibrant 24-bed inpatient unit and a dynamic community service. You’ll be serving the beautifully diverse populations of Hackney, Newham, and Tower Hamlets, supported by an incredible multi-lingual advocacy team and a world-class complementary therapies centre.

Closing date:  22nd April 2026

Interview date: TBC

Main duties of the job

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Clinical Leadership: Lead the charge in both ward-based and community settings.
  • Innovation & Research: We don’t just follow best practices—we create them. You’ll have the freedom to develop specialist interests, from pioneering research to building vital links with underserved groups, like the homeless community.
  • Education: Share your expertise through our busy, active Education Centre, shaping the next generation of palliative care professionals.

The Essentials:

  • Balance: A sustainable 1:8 on-call rota (weeknights and weekends).
  • Qualifications: Full GMC registration with a license to practise. You should be on the Specialist Register for Palliative Medicine (or within 6 months of your CCT).

Working for our organisation

Join a team that values your vision as much as your clinical skill. Apply today and help us redefine what modern palliative care looks like in the heart of London!

This role is primarily community-based, with inpatient ward cover, serving the vibrant and ethnically diverse population of Newham, Tower Hamlets, City, and Hackney.
