Registered Nurse

Desirable criteria

Has attained or is working towards a Degree/ Certificate/Diploma in management/ professional nursing issues.
GCP training

Experience

Essential criteria

Relevant experience at band 5 within a relevant speciality. Experience of supervision of junior staff, SLICE or equivalent experience For specialist areas able to demonstrate specialist knowledge of patient group Knowledge of research and audit Evidence of continuing professional development
Ability to practice within the scope of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
Ability to demonstrate application of the NHS Plan to own sphere of practice.

Remote developmental histories and child observations (via video calls)
Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
Tech-enabled outcome report writing
Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
