Job overview

AB2 West Gynaecology is a friendly and supportive female inpatient ward caring for women with a wide range of gynaecological needs, including acute, emergency, and planned admissions.

We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care, ensuring every woman feels listened to, supported, and cared for throughout her stay.

AB2 West is a great place to grow and develop as a nurse. Whether you are newly qualified or already have experience, you will be supported to build your skills and confidence in women’s health, acute gynaecology, post-operative care, and the management of complex conditions. Main duties of the job

  •  Delivering high quality nursing care and support for women with gynaecological problems 
  • Contributing to promoting a high standard of patient experience
  • Contributing to the maintenance of infection control procedures 
  • Updating own knowledge and skills to promote excellence in clinical practice 
  • Contribute to clinical audit of service and outcomes 
  • To support the Senior Staff Nurse in developing and maintaining the highest specialised nursing care and to take remedial action when standards of care are not met
  • Support the Senior Staff Nurse to maintain financial control and efficiency within the department

  • Medication administration and management skills and knowledge
