Job overview
We are looking to recruit a full time Endoscopy Booking Administrators who share our vision and can be guided by our Trust’s core values of kind, collaborative, aspirational and expert.
We are looking for enthusiastic multi-skilled team players to join our busy Endoscopy Team and be able to fulfil our customer service guarantee by reducing call wait times and improving patient experience.
We have a vacancy for a Band 3 Booking Administrator who will be working in a devolved setting. The Booking Administrator will be responsible for answering patient calls and booking patients within their diagnostic target time and adhering to the Trust Access Policy. The post holders will liaise with doctors and nurses as well as other departments within the hospital.
The successful post holders will be used to working autonomously, be proactive and able to take initiative to solve problems. The administrators will need to work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and various administrative teams to deliver the objectives of the service.
We are looking for a candidate who can balance the demands of a very busy workload, are dedicated to delivering excellent patient experience. Experience in using Cerner is preferable.
You will be required to have experience in a patient facing role with an excellent customer care manner, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as, being flexible and adaptable. Our shift patterns are varied, covering a 08:00 to 20:00 rota.
Proficient Information Technology (IT) knowledge and skills are essential for this post, to enable you to provide computer based functions and advice to patients and a range of service users.

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for booking, changing and cancelling patient appointments
- Ensuring that all access and booking standards are met in regards to patient appointments when booking
- To input and maintain information on Scorpio, Cerner and Waiting List Tracker for patients admitted or discharged.
- Commitment to Directorate and Trust objectives
- Take active part in any service improvement initiatives that ensure the service is fit for purpose and delivers values for money in line with operational policies
