Education/ Qualifications

Essential criteria

BSc Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
HCPC registration

Desirable criteria

Member of CSP
Membership of appropriate special interest group (e.g. POGP)
Post graduate education/course in PH related topic

Experience

Essential criteria

• Post graduate experience in musculoskeletal or pelvic health physiotherapy
• Knowledge and understanding of conditions relevant to pelvic health
• Experience of (at least 1 year) working within a NHS environment
• Experience of multidisciplinary and inter-agency working

Desirable criteria

Previous experience at Band 6 level in OPD or PH within the NHS
Experience of supervising students and/or therapy assistants
Experience on UK emergency duty rota
Experience co-ordinating and conducting programmes and classes
Experience managing pelvic floor dysfunction

Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities

Essential criteria

Ability to use and apply a range of assessment and treatment techniques and approaches to the management of pelvic health conditions.
Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate as appropriate and to manage time effectively.
Ability to remain updated with professional practice and research and integrate this into daily patient management.
Understand the legal responsibilities of the profession
Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust’s policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety and meet the differing needs of the patients

Remote developmental histories and child observations (via video calls)
Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
Tech-enabled outcome report writing
Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.

ADOS Autism Assessor for Children and Young People, based in our Exeter clinic

Time commitment: Full-time employment is preferred, though we can also offer part-time (minimum of 3 days per week) or a self-employed role (again a minimum of 3 days per week).
