COVID-19 Vacancy Community Staff Nurse

Band 5

Lewisham and Greenwich Trust provides hospital and community services for more than 526,000 people across south east London. We put patients at the heart of everything we do, which is reflected in the positive feedback we receive. We are a friendly and dynamic place to work, with high levels of job satisfaction and excellent transport links serving our two hospitals – University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Greenwich.

We are seeking dedicated, motivated people to help us provide high quality care to our local communities. In return for your hard work, we offer well-established, structured mentoring and staff development packages to support you in your role.

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is an integrated community and acute trust providing a seamless service to residents of the borough. The Adult Community Nursing Service is divided into 4 neighbourhoods and care is provided for patients in their own homes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Staff Nurse who shares our Trust values and is passionate about delivering safe, high quality, holistic care to a dedicated client group.

You will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy and professional accountability and expected to be motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and team working skills as well as a positive attitude to change.

You will visit patients in their own homes and provide a comprehensive range of clinical nursing activities. A key aspect of the role will involve working with the wider multidisciplinary team to  help plan and deliver complex care to enable patients to remain in their home environment for as long as possible.

You will also experience the challenges of working within a diverse multicultural society which with the backing of a supportive team can prove to be very rewarding.

In return you will be supported with a comprehensive induction programme and access to further education for your own personal professional development such as Preceptorship and Mentorship to enhance career progression.

Please note there are two shift patterns: 08.00 – 16.00 or 12.00 – 20.00

The Trust is committed to operating flexible working practices wherever possible.

Evidence of a full current UK driving licence and daily access to a car is essential, for this role.
