Medico – Legal Fellow (Part time, initial 12 months fixed term contract (with potential to be extended to two years), circa 3 days per week, home based)

We are a mutual organisation owned by our members and led and staffed by doctors with experience of clinical practice.  A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, high calibre clinician to join our Advisory Team as a Medicolegal Fellow. The post will be suitable for doctors who have full GMC registration with a licence to practise and who have successfully completed UK Foundation training.

As an MDU doctor you will be based at home. You will receive comprehensive training that will equip you with the skills needed to support our members with straightforward medicolegal cases and you will have exposure to a range of medicolegal issues. You will be joining a busy department and will need to work effectively under pressure with excellent time management and communication skills, including the ability to write fluently. We will also support you to study towards the Diploma in Legal Medicine if desired.
