NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) was formed on 1 July 2022.

We are working with local people and partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority in the next year will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Out of Hospital Strategy.

Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced and committed individual to join our Integrated Commissioning Team, working across our partnerships to shape and deliver our ambitious Learning Disability programme.

The role will be responsible for leading on the areas of Co-production, Health outcomes and Transforming Care, and will also support several housing and residential placement projects. A commitment to co-production and experience of commissioning, strategy or project delivery in health and social care is essential.

Main duties of the job

To be successful in this role you will be highly motivated and organised, with strong leadership skills and understanding of learning disabilities services including secondary and primary health care and social care and supported housing for adults with learning disabilities. You will be able to manage your time and able to work flexibly in a pressurised environment, demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, health and social care professionals, patients’ family members and others.

Education / Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • • Post-graduate degree or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • • Experience of managing risks and reporting
  • • Evidence of planning and delivering programmes, projects and services on time
Desirable criteria
  • • Evidence of continued professional development Member of relevant professional body
  • • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence
  • • Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • • Understanding of the public sector Experience in a healthcare environment
  • • Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills
  • • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of equality of opportunity and diversity. Being aware of how individual actions contribute to, and make a difference to, the equality agenda
