3 month CT LAS Job Nov’25 – Feb’26 Camden Mental Health Intensive Day Service (CMHIDS) / North Camden Crisis Resolution Team (NCCRT)

Based at: 
•    North Camden Crisis Resolution Team, JML House, Regis Road, London NW5 3EG (Tuesday, Friday)
•    Camden Mental Health Intensive Day Service, Greenwood Centre 37 Greenwood Place London Nw5 1LB (Wed am, Thurs)

Main duties of the job

You will assess patients and formulate management plans. You will conduct out-patient clinics each week. You will also do joint assessments with team members, assess and review patients at their homes, and visit patients in supported accommodation. You will attend the team meeting. You will discuss your assessment and management plan at the team meeting.  Outside these meetings you can either phone or personally speak to the Consultants or other team members if you have questions or concerns about patients.
You will write letters to GPs after each patient contact or change in management plan to keep them informed. 
You will familiarize yourself with the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act and work within this legislation. You will adhere to Trust Policies. 
You will maintain accurate, legible, contemporaneous and useful clinical records for all patients in whose care you are involved.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification (essential) AND MRCPsych examination (desirable); OR a specialist qualification in psychiatry from an EU country that complies with the requirements of EU directive 2005/36/EC
  • Eligibility for full registration with the GMC and a current license to practice at the time of appointment.

Clinical Skills

Essential criteria
  • Appropriate knowledge base and capacity to apply sound clinical judgement.
  • Capacity to prioritize clinical need.
  • Ability in basic skills of history taking examination (mental & physical) & synthesis of findings.
  • Basic psychotherapeutic skills

Academic / Research Skills

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of the principles of audit, research & clinical risk management / Evidence of active participation in audit
