Job overview
Are you interested in joining an innovative, high profile and dynamic dietetic team of over 50 staff? We are seeking a self-motivated Band 6 Rotational Dietitian.
The successful individual will be joining our Band 6 Rotational Programme. As this is a rotational post you will have the opportunity to be working within well-established multidisciplinary teams with both inpatients and outpatients in the following clinical areas; Bariatrics; Intestinal Failure Team; Oncology & Haematology; Paediatrics; Metabolics; Critical Care; Neurology & Neuro Surgery; Head & Neck Oncology.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Four year degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
- HCPC registered
Desirable criteria
- Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) or equivalent association
- Post registration training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Post graduate study in specialist area of dietetics e.g. PENG course, paediatric/renal modules
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post registration clinical experience
Desirable criteria
- Involvement in relevant specialist interest group
- Knowledge of current issues relating to specialist area of dietetics
Quality and service improvement
Essential criteria
- Experience of service development
Communication
Essential criteria
- Sound verbal and written skills
- Proven ability to communicate using a variety of methods to a range of healthcare professionals, non professionals and patients
- Awareness of need for confidentiality and issues of consent
- Flexible and adaptable to working alone or in different groups
- Proven experience of communicating to affect change in adults
- Experience of multidisciplinary teamwork
