Job overview

Applications are invited for a Clinical Teaching & Research Fellow in ENT at the Royal National ENT Hospital, part of University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The post will suit an ENT-keen trainee wishing to develop interest, experience and qualification in medical education and develop their research skills, whilst still maintaining wide-ranging ENT clinical exposure and skills by being part of the team at a centre of ENT excellence. The postholder will also join a growing and thriving community of clinical teaching fellows across all UCLH sites. This team forms an essential part of the delivery of the high quality student teaching for which UCL is renowned, and thus provides a community with valuable peer support.

Main duties of the job

The post is a full-time (40hr/week) position and requires commitment to a 12 month fixed term contract, starting in September 2026 in order to line up with the new academic year at UCL. The post is split between supporting our educational leads and UCL medical school with administration and delivery of undergraduate teaching (30%), research under supervision of our professorial unit (20%), and providing a supervised clinical service to our patients (50%); the split will naturally vary during academic terms and academic holidays.
