Job overview

The Department of Urology at University College Hospital is looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Foundation Doctor to work across the highly specialised Urology department based at Westmoreland Street Hospital. 

Main duties of the job

The appointee will be joining the largest urological department in the country and will join a fantastic MDT team of approx. 30 consultants, over 20 registrars, other junior doctors, and nursing staff.

The doctor would be primarily ward based but have the opportunity to progress being attached with one of our sub-specialty teams as well as contribute to the department’s cutting-edge research.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Eligible for full registration with the GMC , eligible to apply for GMC Specialist Register, at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise.
  • Basic Life Support
  • Advanced Life Support

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Completion of Foundation Year 1 Medical Training
  • Management of surgical inpatients within own clinical competence
Desirable criteria
  • Clinical Audit

Skills and Abilities

  • Management of urological emergencies
