Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Audiologist to join our friendly team to deliver a quality Adult assessment and rehabilitation care pathway.

This job is a 9 months fixed term post to cover maternity. It is a great opportunity for someone who has recently graduated to get experience in a busy department. Clinics are held at a number of locations across Haringey and Islington.

The postholder will be based predominantly at St Ann’s hospital, although there will be rotation at other sites.

We also work closely with UCL university to provide clinical placements for BSc students.

Main duties of the job

To perform routine audiological assessments on adults without direct supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

To select and fit hearing aids to routine adult clients referred from General Practitioners, and internally via consultant Audiological Physician/ENT as directed.

To assist senior Audiological staff/medical staff with non- routine diagnostic and rehabilitative cases for adults.

Working for our organisation

Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff.  We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief.  The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
