Job overview
An excellent opportunity has become available to be part of our Community Mental Health Service in Luton. This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified professional to expand in their skills, expertise, multi-agency liaisons and autonomous practice. Luton CMH Hubs have transformed and created a multi-disciplinary and multi professional triage service which caters for support requests coming from our partner agencies.
We would welcome a forward thinking individual to add to the dynamics of this front door service and the overall functioning of the CMH Hubs. We are looking for resilient and proactive team players who are skilled and motivated mental health professionals, to join us in meeting the needs of those we serve in the vibrant and diverse locality of Luton.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for:
· Ensuring that the values outlined in the NHS Constitution are adhered to daily and any matters of concern are raised with the relevant Line Manager or through the necessary processes within the Trust. Responsible for delivering a compassionate, dignified and respectful service to patients at all times.

Essential criteria
- Registered Professional in either Nursing (Mental Health) or Social Work, with current registration with NMC or HCPC.
- Evidence of post registration continued professional development, qualifications or equivalent experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of Management and Clinical Supervision , including annual appraisal
- Previous experience of organisational change
- Previous experience of service development, quality improvement and of bringing innovation and new ideas to practice
- The ability to assertively engage with service users who maybe distressed and presenting with complex clinical needs & associated risks
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of CPA.
- Good knowledge of current and relevant local and national agendas that impact upon Primary Care Mental Health teams and the wider health and social care system and the ability to understand and disseminate this knowledge to others.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act (1983/ 2007/ 2014/5), Care Act (2014), relevant national standards and other relevant national policies.
- Excellent knowledge & understanding of recovery principles and NICE guidance in relation to common mental disorders and the ability to ensure that evidence based practice with clear clinical outcomes is embedded into practice.
- Demonstrate a knowledge base for substance misuse and associated risks
- Demonstrate a competency in using electronic clinical systems and associated Microsoft Office products or equivalent software

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
