Job overview
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) exists to help improve the quality, sustainability and productivity of health and social care in England. The NICE Science Policy and Research teams manage a diverse and ambitious portfolio of projects tackling some of the most complex challenges facing NICE. We have a vacancy for an Administrator in NICE's Science Policy and Research teams. The Administrator will provide essential support across both teams, contributing to day-to-day operations, project delivery, and ad hoc initiatives.
Although the role formally sits within the Science Policy team, it offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Research team and collaborate with colleagues across NICE, making this an ideal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Main duties of the job
- Providing office administration and project management support, including administrative support to senior managers
- Contributing to the development of new processes within the team, including creating records and spreadsheets
- Managing meeting arrangements including; preparing meeting agendas, minute taking and liaising with meeting attendees about their contributions
- Organising workshops, focus groups and webinars including managing invites, developing agendas, and distributing papers
- Arranging and booking travel and accommodation for team colleagues
- Supporting digital workplace initiatives in the team, using best practice and NICE wide standards
- Monitoring financial transactions and supporting the Assistant Project Manager with budget management activity for the team
