We are looking for an experience Personal Assistant to support the Chief Information Officer, providing operational support and coordinating a range of activities across the Directorate.  This is a busy and varied role that requires someone with exceptional organisational skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively.

This role will be hybrid, the majority of the role can be undertaken from home, with a base office location of either Manchester or London assigned. Please refer to the job description for further details.  The majority of the team are Manchester based.

There will be 2 rounds of interviews; the first round will be a formal panel interview and then shortlisted candidates will be invited to a second round which will be with the Chief Information Officer. Both will be held virtually.

Main duties of the job

The PA will be part of the Digital, Information and Technology (DIT) Directorate providing operational support and coordinating a range of activities, this includes:

•    Providing administrative support and diary management to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), including coordinating and scheduling meetings, preparing papers, reviewing minutes/papers to identify actions, booking and managing travel.
•    Proactively managing the CIO’s mailbox, identifying actions and follow ups, re-directing enquiries. responding to emails.
•    Coordinating activities for the CIO and DIT Senior Team such as action management, supporting corporate reporting, managing important recurring meetings and other key directorate meetings. 
•    Manages, coordinates and provides secretariat for meetings as required for the directorate.
•    Coordinating communications for the Senior Team within the directorate.
