Job overview
Are you a proactive and enthusiastic researcher with experience in epidemiology, health economics, health outcomes research, health technology assessment or guideline development, with a strong interest in health policy? We have a vacancy for a Senior Analyst in NICE's Research team. Reporting to a Scientific Adviser, the post holder will work with NICE colleagues and international collaborators, including HTA agencies and regulators, to develop our methods, processes and policies for health technology assessment and guideline development. They will also work on grant-funded one or more of our research projects, funded by national and international funders.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Analysts within the Research team are responsible for a range of activities, including:
· Conducting research, analysing data and disseminating findings in collaboration with partners in the UK and internationally
· Delivering science policy and research outputs and ensuring the high technical quality of these outputs
· Developing applications for research funding in collaboration with partners in the UK and internationally
· Proactively working with teams across NICE to develop and deliver projects that address NICE's strategic research priorities
· Developing and maintaining working relationships with external collaborators including research partners, international HTA agencies, regulators and the wider research community
· Managing the Research team’s research infrastructure activity.
The team adopts a flexible approach, meaning that the post holder will work on multiple projects and activities at any one time and that specific tasks assigned to the post-holder may change in response to business needs.
Working for our organisation
The Science, Evidence and Analytics Directorate provides the essential foundation that underpins all NICE guidance. We're responsible for keeping NICE's methodological approaches fit for purpose. This involves not just internal development but active engagement with our stakeholders to understand what matters most to them in health technology assessment and guideline development. We collaborate on research projects to drive innovation in new methods.
