Job overview

Home 1st are looking for a Part Time Permanent Band 3  Administrator 

The Milton Keynes Home 1st Service is a jointly delivered service between CNWL and Milton Keynes Council that provides fast access to nursing, therapy and reablement to help you to remain safe and supported in your own home or usual place of residence.

You will be working with a team that includes nurses; therapists; social workers, reablement assistants; health care assistants; speech and language therapists, psychology services and a Senior Medicines Optimisation Technician.

We are looking to appoint an Administrator for up to 30 hours per week to  support the existing administrative team. Applicants must have good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The information handled is often of a sensitive and emotive nature and the post requires characteristics of a calm and efficient team member. Main duties of the job

  • To maintain up to date records on the patient system with regards to client’s referral and discharge process.
  • Systm One daily team support & ongoing development 
  • Work with the management and clinical teams to identify S1 limitations and work with S1 teams to find alternative ways of working 
  • To be responsible for the scanning and uploading of documents onto the patient system and attaching to relevant patient files.
  • To answer the telephones and deal with referrals and queries for the service, directing all calls promptly and efficiently.
  • To collect and collate post (incoming and outgoing)
  • To monitor and order stock of stationery, PPE, medicines and nursing supplies
  • To check the patient system for tasks and action as appropriate.
  • To take and transcribe minutes for teams meetings across Home 1st.
  • To collect, record and display patient feedback for all Home 1st teams.
  • To assist the administration team with other admin duties and act as a point of contact when they are not available.
  • To report any issues with the I.T, computer system and telephone system to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • To report building issues to Estates and Facilities in a timely manner.
  • To ensure that information regarding sickness/ absence of staff is communicated to the manager and team leads immediately.
  • To cover colleagues absence as required.
  • To contribute to the development of an effective Home 1st servic

Any other delegated duties considered appropriate for this post.

Education

Essential criteria
  • Good general education up to GCSE’s or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant NVQ’s Level 2

Experience

  • Previous Administration Role
  • Experience using IT systems
  • Experience of taking minutes
  • Microsoft office applications
Desirable criteria
  • NHS experience
  • Customer service
  • Previous experience of S1
