Physiotherapist – MSK Rotational

(MSK, Elective Orthopaedics and Hand Therapy)

Fixed term Contract

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our friendly team at Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital. The post-holder could be based at either Hillingdon or Mount Vernon hospital but may be required to rotate across site.  At Hillingdon Hospital there is an MSK outpatients rotation and at Mount Vernon Hospital (situated in Northwood) there are options to rotate into the elective orthopaedic and hand therapy rotations as well as spinal and peripheral rotations in MSK outpatients.  On both sites you will join the orthopaedic weekend rota (trauma at Hillingdon and elective at Mount Vernon) for which competency training is provided.  (Orthopaedic weekends may become part of a 7 day working hours in the future)

You should have a good base of experience particularly in outpatients and orthopaedics with a good background knowledge of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.  We are looking for an applicant with excellent clinical skills, compassion and enthusiasm to help in service developments, projects and audit.  You will need to be adaptable and organised and enjoy playing a major role in supervising junior staff, assistant and technical instructor staff and undergraduate students on clinical placement.

Main duties of the job

The Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust is committed to evidence based practice and research is actively encouraged. Development of clinical skills is supported through a programme of regular in-service training, supervision, CPD and appraisal.  Please read our candidate pack for more information about the hospital, Trust and the role on offer.
