Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and dedicated band 5 Radiographers to join the team at London North West University Hospitals NHS Trust.

We have an Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) opened at Central Middlesex Hospital. Based at Central Middlesex Hospital in Brent, the elective Orthopaedic Centre will over see 4,000 Londoners a year for routing bone and joint surgery since opening in November 2023.

The successful candidates will work across sites including the   EOC providing diagnostic services to the sector.

Main duties of the job

General responsibilities include:

  • To work within a team of radiographic and clerical staff within the Trust
  • To provide a high standard of expertise and care, and lead areas of the department in the absence of the Modality Superintendent.
  • To provide a diagnostic imaging service in areas where trained both in and out of normal working hours.
  • To help facilitate learning for students and less experienced staff

Registration

Essential criteria
  • Current HCPC Registration
  • Bsc or equivalent in radiography
Desirable criteria
  • Attendance at relevant study days and courses.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of A&E, theatre & mobile radiography
  • Experience of working as lone worker in or out of hours
  • Knowledge of IRMER
  • Good knowledge of all general aspects of radiography.
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching and training students and other new members of staff.rience of another specialist modality.

Skills and Abilities
