Job overview

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to oversee recruitment activity within our Unplanned Care Division, covering a 12-month secondment.

This is a fast-paced role, ideal for someone who can quickly adapt and take initiative. While we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, additional training and support will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the core competencies required.

The service operates across both Hillingdon and Mount Vernon sites, with flexibility for some remote working from home. Working hours are between 9am and 5pm.

Main duties of the job

This is a full end-to-end recruitment role, including:

  • Managing and advising your division on recruitment strategy and processes
  • Providing a professional recruitment and advisory service to managers and candidates
  • Vacancy management using TRAC
  • Processing new starters and internal changes via ESR
  • Conducting pre-employment checks
  • Managing visa applications
  • Participating in interviews when required
  • Supporting international nursing recruitment
  • Contributing to additional recruitment projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within the NHS or a similar setting
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Familiarity with TRAC and ESR systems is desirable

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

Essential criteria
  • Equivalent work based Knowledge
  • Managing and advising divisional hiring managers on recruitment process and procedures
  • Ability to produce a variety of documents using word for windows excel and databases.
  • Trac and managing vacancies to targeted time to hire.
  • Payroll ESR entry of new starters and internal changes
  • Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision managing your Divisional workload.
  • Ability to deal with large workflow and tight deadlines.
Desirable criteria
  • Prepared or working towards CIPD qualification
  • Work within a Medical or HR department.
  • Shortlisting and interviewing skills
  • International recruitment
