Job overview
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Older People’s Mental Health Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older adults experiencing mental health, cognitive and memory difficulties. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will use your clinical expertise to promote independence, improve quality of life and deliver person-centred care. Main duties of the job
You will provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for older adults with mental health, cognitive and memory needs, supporting them to achieve their goals and maximise independence. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning and risk management, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. You will use evidence-based practice to inform clinical decision-making, support service development and provide supervision and guidance to junior staff and students while promoting continuous learning and professional excellence.
