Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to join Infectious Disease Team at EHT as a Housekeeper.
This role requires the successful post holder to have good communication and organisational skills.
You will need to be flexible, adaptable and able to use your own initiative as well as following instruction to undertake this role. You will be expected to report to the Clinical Nurse Managers regularly updating them on your progress or to highlight areas for improvement.
You will be part of a multi- disciplinary team and need to be confident, proactive and resilient in this role to achieve the expected standards of the job description.
Main duties of the job
This role will include maintaining the store cupboards, stores and deliveries and ensuring that equipment is cleaned and checked and if required sending it for maintenance. The overall maintenance of the ward environment will be within the successful candidates remit also.
This role entails manual handling.
The role involves undertaking audits, valuable in achieving trust targets to promote and maintain good infection control outcomes for patients and the clinical environment.
You will work closely with the procurement and central stores departments to maintain a safe clinical environment.
