Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist

Band 8a

West London NHS Trust  provides a full range of mental health, community  and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

Trosolwg o'r swydd

We have an exciting opportunity an enthusiastic clinical, forensic or counselling psychologist to join the inpatient service at West London Forensic Service (WLFS). This is a full-time substantive post which is based at the St Bernard’s Hospital site in Ealing.

The post will be attached to a ward in the men’s secure service (the particular ward is to be confirmed but will be clear prior to interview). The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of a highly developed and comprehensive psychology service to culturally diverse service-users with enduring mental health difficulties and offending histories.

The post is a band 8A position but can also be appointed as a Band 7 / 8A preceptorship, in which a candidate appointed at Band 7 would be able to progress to Band 8A following the achievement of a set of milestones in within post.

We welcome applications from highly-motivated and resourceful individuals who value team working, and who can demonstrate strong skills and experience in working in secure settings.
