We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

Resourcing Lead – Band 6 (CAMHS)

An exciting opportunity to make a real impact in mental health services.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Resourcing Recruitment Lead to join our Recruitment Team. This pivotal role will focus on supporting CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), ensuring that recruitment efforts align with workforce needs and service priorities across our seven service lines.

This is a role where you can truly make a significant difference by helping to attract and retain the right people, ensuring children and young people receive the care they deserve.

The post holder will:

- Be responsible for managing up-to-date vacancy data and ensuring appropriate action is taken to reduce vacancies and minimise agency spend.

- Work closely with CAMHS service leads to develop and implement innovative recruitment and retention strategies, enabling the Trust to compete effectively for hard-to-fill roles.

- Collaborate with Workforce Partners to align recruitment efforts with workforce planning and forecasted service demands.

- Lead on creative and strategic planning for recruitment initiatives, with a focus on safer staffing in line with the Trust’s nursing strategy.

- Provide expert advice and guidance on recruitment, retention, and onboarding processes.

Proactively support the CAMHS service in building a skilled and compassionate workforce capable of delivering high-quality care.

- Support the Recruitment & Retention Project Lead in delivering the recruitment and retention strategy for CAMHS.

- Work alongside the Project Lead to develop and refine recruitment processes that ensure the Trust attracts and retains staff with the right skills and values.

- Develop proactive recruitment plans to manage vacancy levels and reduce reliance on costly temporary staffing.

Collaborate with Recruitment & Retention Project Lead and Workforce Partners to design tailored recruitment strategies for CAMHS.

- Identify and resolve process blockages to enable timely onboarding of staff.

- Influence and support service managers in implementing workforce resourcing strategies that align with operational needs and service delivery models.

- Lead assessment centres and interviews for both clinical and non-clinical roles.

- Innovate recruitment approaches for hard-to-fill posts, including AHP and nursing roles.

- Build external partnerships (e.g., with accommodation providers) to support recruitment and staff retention.

- Explore and implement incentives, such as Golden Hellos or relocation support, for particularly challenging vacancies.

- Take responsibility for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for all new starters within CAMHS.

  • Degree - or equivalent experience in a relevant subject for the role

  • Post Graduate qualification in HR or training and development
  • Teaching/Coaching qualification
  • Qualified Nurse of Allied Health Practitioner

Experience

  • Experience in developing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Experience of working within the recruitment function within the NHS carrying an independent workload
  • Experience of running assessment centres and/or other selection techniques
  • Experience of leading and managing projects to completion and delivery within the required timescales.
  • Experience of working autonomously nursing role
