Trosolwg o'r swydd

  • An exciting 1 year secondment opportunity has arisen within the Richmond MSK service.
  • The MSK team consists of a varied team of band 5, band 6 and band 7 physiotherapists with an MSK interface service of 4 advanced physiotherapy practitioners.
  • Career development is prioritised through regular case discussions, supervisions, protected CPD and additional opportunities.
  • Patient contact is primarily offered through face to face or class based offerings including hydrotherapy and shockwave.
  • You will be expected to supervise and contribute to the development of staff, whilst also being involved in service improvement projects.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To provide an expert and highly developed musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and appropriate onward management of patients presenting with chronic and acute musculoskeletal problems to the service referred via their GP or other health professional.
  • Deliver programmes of supported patient self-management, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimises individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfillment of personal goals and independence, and that minimise the need for pharmacological interventions
  • Support the service manager with the operational running of the service.
  • Support more junior staff with training, supervision and appraisal, whilst also be involved in service improvement projects.

  • HCPC Registration
  • Full CSP membership

Knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of complex pain syndromes/complex presentations and their assessment and management
  • Good awareness of indication for imaging and secondary care services available
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trust vision, values and strategic objectives
  • Good working knowledge of all areas of clinical governance including quality, audit and risk management in accordance with CQC and professional standards.

Experience

  • Significant experience in musculoskeletal specialty of Physiotherapy in the NHS or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of operational team management
