Job overview

Pharmacy Assistant 

We are looking for highly motivated individual to join our busy, friendly pharmacy department at Croydon University Hospital.

Your main role will be to provide support to the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution and Main/Satellite Pharmacy teams and participate in the ward top-up duties and late and weekend duties in Main Dispensary.

You should be organised, accurate and methodical in your approach to work; with good customer service skills and General IT awareness.

You must have GCSE or equivalent level of education including English, Maths and Science at Level C or above. 

You must also be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services/Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant OR willing to work towards it within an agreed timescale.

A short Literacy and Numeracy test will be preceding the interview as part of the interview process.

Main duties of the job

To support Pharmacy staff in the provision of Stores and Distribution services to include topping-up service, stock management, receipt and storage of goods.

The post holder may also be required to work in Main and Satellite pharmacies and participate in late and weekend duties, as per service needs.
