We are excited to offer an opportunity for an aspiring or developing HR professional to join our team as an Associate HR Business Partner in a supported development role at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an ideal position for someone who is ready to step into a more strategic HR role, with structured support, mentoring, and development, enabling you to grow into a fully-fledged HR Business Partner within a busy acute hospital environment.

Working as part of a forward-thinking People & OD Directorate, you will provide support to a dedicated division in delivering a high-quality, proactive HR service supported by a People Advisor..

This role is designed with development at its core. You will:

  • Gradually build your experience in strategic partnering
  • Be supported to lead on increasingly complex workforce initiatives
  • Receive coaching and mentorship from experienced HRBPs and senior leaders

You will play a key role in helping services deliver safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring they have the right people, skills, and culture in place.

Main duties of the job

Key Duties of the role:

·        Partner with Divisional teams, supported by a People Advisor, to provide expert HR support and advice

·        Support organisational change programmes, including restructures and service redesign

·        Contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and talent initiatives

·        Use workforce data to identify trends and support evidence-based decision making

·        Work collaboratively across People services (ER, Recruitment, OD, EDI)

·        Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in people management

Working for our organisation

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

  • Experience in an HR advisory role within a complex organisation
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR practice
  • Experience managing employee relations cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Experience within the NHS or public sector
  • Understanding of Agenda for Change terms and conditions
