Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

A qualification in Mental Health Nursing (RMN)
Registration with the regulatory body as applicable; NMC

Desirable criteria

Evidence of robust continued professional development including training in relevant subjects.

Experience

Essential criteria

Demonstrable experience of working with people with psychosis.

Desirable criteria

Experience of working with people with complex presentations and high rates of co-morbidity.
Experience of work within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience of working within a EIT/CMHT setting; managing a caseload of service completing assessments with people who have been referred into the service.users and

Knowledge

Essential criteria

An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties
Knowledge and understanding of the Care Program Approach 2008.

There is a requirement to travel mainly within the Bolton area and an occasional requirement to travel across the wide footprint of the Trust to attend meetings and events relevant to the role.

Ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively

We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
