An exciting opportunity has arisen for Health Care Support Workers within the Acute Respiratory Unit at Fairfield General Hospital.
The Acute Respiratory Unit on Wards 11a/b is a face paced, high acuity unit caring for Respiratory, General Medical and ENT patients.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside a Registered Nurse to develop and deliver a personalised plan of care to patients. This will include assisting with personal care needs such as washing and dressing, mobility support, nutritional care needs and maintaining thorough records and documentation

Essential criteria
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C)
- Care Certificate
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working as a Care Support Worker or equivalent in a Health or Social care setting
Desirable criteria
- Enhanced clinical skills such as Venepuncture, ECG, Cannulation
- Physiological Observation monitoring competence
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Good communication (written and verbal skills)
- Basic IT skills
