We are looking for a highly skilled, compassionate assistant psychologist to join us in Pennine Care NHS foundation trust CAMHS.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
We are looking for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join our inpatient CAMHS team. A passion for working with young people and their families and a commitment to Pennine Care values is essential.
The successful candidate with work as part of a diverse MDT to support the needs of young people with complex difficulties. Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, there will be opportunities for some work with young people and their families. The Assistant Psychologist will work within the psychological therapies team to support and enhance the psychological care of young people within the service. You will assist in the delivery of psychological interventions (1:1 and group), and clinically related administration, including clinical audit, service evaluation and research. You will also support the qualified psychologists in teaching and project work.
The accompanying Day Service is currently in development with working hours expected to be Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm. There is an expectation that the successful candidate would work into this service once established.

Qualifications
Meini prawf hanfodol
- An upper second class honours degree or higher in psychology. Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
Meini prawf dymunol
- Undergraduate research relevant to Child Psychology.
- Further postgraduate training in relevant areas of psychology and / or mental health
Experience

- Experience of working with young people with complex mental health difficulties

- Experience as a Psychology Assistant
- Experience using micro computers for data analysis, especially SPSS for Windows
Knowledge

- An understanding of the difficulties of children with neurodevelopmental conditions and / or mental health problems and the needs of their carers
- An understanding of psychology applied to health care
- Knowledge of child development

- Evidence of ability to design and evaluate research projects relevant to Clinical Psychology
Skills

- High level of communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients, carers and colleagues in a way that addresses psychological resistance

- An ability to interact effectively with staff from all disciplines. An ability to interact with children with mental health problems / disabilities and their families
- Ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively
