Staff Nurse -Treatment Rooms
Band 5
Job overview
We are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health
services and social care services in the city. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across
organisational boundaries.
Our community teams work as one – delivering and designing services in partnership with local people. We believe that our pioneering approach will make a massive difference to the health of people in our city and we are looking for you to join our team and help us do this.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Band 5 Nurse to join our Treatment Rooms service.
The Treatment Rooms Service is available to all non-housebound north Manchester adult residents who have a nursing need . This includes wound care (with often quite complex wounds and patients); non-complex lymphoedema/leg ulcer/podiatry management; catheter management; stoma management; administration of injections and management of wounds post-surgery.
This is an exciting time to be part of our newly integrated services supporting the service lead and matron in taking the services forward to ensure that care is delivered to the highest of standards. We work closely alongside other community services such as the Lymphoedema, District Nursing, Leg Ulcer, Tissue Viability and podiatry services and you will need to develop positive working relationships with those services.
As well as bringing your clinical expertise, you will be a champion of the integrated community care approach, a strong team player and an excellent communicator. You will be adaptable, committed, well organised and able to work well under pressure. You must be able to travel around various community locations delivering care.
If you are motivated, enthusiastic and have proven experience of working as an autonomous practitioner we would love to welcome you to our friendly, hard-working and dedicated team.
