Job overview

Providing managerial support to the administration team in the healthcare department, ensuring the smooth running of the team and that all priorities are completed within the working day.

To work closely with the management team to ensure that data quality is accurate and data is available when required. 

Main duties of the job

 

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the clinical staff and managers within HMP Manchester. The post holder will maintain the office organisation and support all clinical staff working in the department with additional responsibility for supervising and supporting other administrative staff working within the department.

Education/Qualification

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or equivalent

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of software packages required for role.
Desirable criteria
  • Awareness of NHS & or /Prison

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Ability to deal with people and handle enquiries efficiently and effectively in a sympathetic manner
  • Good communication skills when liaising with clients, colleagues, visitors when on the phone and face to face.

Self Resiliance

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work without constant supervision and on own initiative whilst carrying out routine duties.
  • Able to implement admin systems and procedures to maximise time
  • An awareness of confidentiality issues regarding clients and staff.
