Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated nurse to join our bronchoscopy unit.
The Bronchoscopy Unit is a state-of-the-art unit based at the North West lung center. Providing specialist facilities for patients from across the Northwest. We offer high tech minimally invasive fiberoptic and ultrasound investigations to diagnose, stage, treat and research conditions of the respiratory system.
We also now provide a new robotic ION bronchoscopy procedure, which we are only one of two hospitals in the country which provide this service.
The unit houses three dedicated procedural rooms and supports the centers general and specialist services performing over 3,000 procedures annually.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be flexible, a team player, and be able demonstrate a commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
Be able to cope under pressure in emergency situations.
As part of the team, you will play an integral role in supporting lung cancer patients throughout their cancer journey promoting clinical excellence and the ongoing development of the service.
The post holder will be an integral part of the development and updating of standard operating procedures and the day to say running of the interventional bronchoscopy service.
